This Weber 40 IDF is suitable for engines ranging from 1600cc to 1800cc and comes standard with the correct F11 emulsion tube. The throttle arm is universally positioned and can be operated from both left and right without much keywork (from the factory it is mounted on the left). The venturi measures 28mm and from the factory, the following jetting is installed: air jet 200 – fuel jet 115 – idle jet 50.

Weber is one of the largest carburetor suppliers and offers us a wide range of carburetors, allowing for all forms of tuning to be carried out. The belief that the larger the carburetor, the more power, is only partially true, as the rest of the engine must also be suitable for this. Therefore, you must carefully consider which carburetor will be suitable for your engine. Unless otherwise stated, the carburetors are ready for installation and come with a standard jetting. Once installed, you must ensure that both carburetors (if you are mounting two) are properly synchronized, where a synchronizer (1110) will be an essential tool. After this adjustment, it is advisable to tune the carburetors on a dynamometer (there are companies throughout the Netherlands specializing in this), where the maximum power from your engine is achieved by installing the correct jetting with the right timing. With larger carburetors, it is also necessary to install a quick-acting 009 ignition. All Weber carburetors are supplied individually.
