Description
180 mm suitable for 1200 and 1300 engines
The sudden engagement of the clutch plate, despite a properly adjusted clutch, is often due to a worn pressure plate. A rattling sound when disengaging the clutch can also be the cause. When replacing the pressure plate, the pressure bearing is often also due for replacement and it is advisable to also replace the clutch plate directly, to ensure a properly functioning unit.
All pressure plates come with pressure fingers (diaphragm). It is possible that your old pressure plate looks different (equipped with pressure arms), this is not a problem as long as the diameter and the presence or absence of a thrust ring are correct. Diaphragm pressure plates are more modern and provide a smoother engagement compared to the older types with pressure arms. Don’t forget to tighten the pressure plate bolts in a crisscross pattern to the correct torque.
The indicated size is the diameter of the pressure plate, make sure of this before ordering, as it could happen that your flywheel or complete engine has been replaced with a different type. By measuring the pressure plate or clutch plate, you can be sure to order the correct one. The pressure plate is factory-coated with a corrosion-protective layer, only make the pressure plate free of grease so that the rest remains protected against corrosion.
