Description
Replacing the crankshaft pulley with a trendy aluminum one is often done because it looks better, but there is an even greater advantage: the weight is significantly lower, which helps to increase engine power. The pulley mentioned here has a diameter of 170 mm. This size of pulley was originally only used on 1200 or 1300 cc engines. The 1500 and 1600 cc engines were equipped with a 177 mm pulley to achieve higher cooling capacity related to the larger engine power.
A pulley with a lighter weight and smaller diameter is key to maximizing engine power from your pulley, which is why these 170 mm pulleys are commonly used on 1500 and 1600 cc engines. However, there is a downside; the cooling capacity is reduced due to the smaller diameter, which is why the 1500 and 1600 cc engines are not mentioned for use.
Thanks to the degree ring, adjusting the engine becomes much easier compared to an original pulley. Both the top (TDC) and bottom dead center (BDC) are additionally marked.
Diameter: 170 mm
