Mounting a gearbox from after August 1972 on a chassis from before July 1972 without needing to convert the gearbox nose is made possible with this adapter. It has the mounting holes of the modern gearbox on one side and the mounting holes for the older chassis on the other side. The adapter is made of urethane, which provides a much better connection than the original rubber.
You can hang the gearbox at the rear with the original gearbox rubbers 300819, but to fully benefit from the urethane, we also recommend using urethane rear rubbers. These are available separately in a high-quality version reinforced with aluminum 300164 or a slightly more flexible version, like this adapter, which is entirely made of urethane 301060. With this last option, you’ll only need the front gearbox rubber, which is only provided in a complete set.
