There are numerous possibilities to improve handling. By replacing the original, soft, torsion bar rubbers with these urethane versions, the car is sprung tighter, leading to better handling. It is recommended to replace both the inner and outer rubber to achieve the maximum result.

These urethane torsion bar rubbers may squeak after installation; applying a little vaseline to the rubbers will significantly reduce the noise. As the rubbers wear in, the vaseline will disappear, and the improved handling will become noticeable.

There are two types of urethane rubbers, those with bumps on the outside and fully rounded versions in various inner diameters.

Urethane rubbers must have a perfect fit; they do not bend like the original rubber, which is why the inner diameter differs from the original. It does not always mean that the indicated rubber for your model year is the right one, as it also depends on which torsion bar cover is installed.

Model year indication is for the original torsion bar covers and original spring plates. When fitting new covers, different spring plates, or adjustable spring plates, be sure to choose the correct rubbers.
