There are numerous ways to improve handling. By replacing the original, soft torsion bar rubbers with these urethane ones, the car will be sprung stiffer, resulting in better handling. It is recommended to replace both the inner and outer rubber to achieve the best possible results.

These urethane torsion bar rubbers may squeak after installation; applying a little vaseline on the rubbers will significantly reduce this. Once the rubbers have worn in, the vaseline will dissipate, and the improved handling will become noticeable.

There are two types of urethane rubbers, those with knobs on the outside and the completely round versions in various inner diameters.

Urethane rubbers must have a perfect fit; they do not bend like the original rubber, hence the inner diameter differs from the original. It does not always mean that the specified rubber for your year is the correct one; this also depends on which torsion bar cover is installed.

The year of manufacture is for the original torsion bar covers and original spring plates. When fitting new covers, different spring plates, or adjustable spring plates, make sure to select the right rubbers.
