Many Volkswagen type 1 and type 3 engines do not have an oil drain plug, which means that the oil must be drained by completely loosening the cover. Without a drain plug, it is almost impossible to avoid making a mess. This crankcase cover is equipped with a drain plug hole, making it possible to drain the oil in a clean manner.
