Description
Connecting rod bushings are also known as piston pin bushings. They are located in the upper part of the connecting rod, where the piston pin passes through.
In practically every engine overhaul, they will need to be replaced; if the piston pin can be pushed through the bushing with light thumb pressure, replacement is not necessary, but in most cases, this will not be the case.
After pressing out the old bushing, the new bushing is pressed in, then the necessary machining operations begin. Drilling the oil channel holes and honing the interior to size, until the piston pin can be pushed through the bushing with light thumb pressure.
Suitable for:
Type-1 engines 1300, 1500, and 1600cc
Type-3 engines
CT/CZ engines
