Description
If valve clearance has not been adjusted for a long time (avoid this at all times), the adjusting screws and locking nuts can become very tight.
Sometimes cutting off and/or damaging the thread is the only solution. In such a case, you should mount new adjusting screws and/or locking nuts.
It can also happen that the adjusting screws are worn diagonally or that they have been hammered due to the age of the engine.
In such a case, the valve clearance can no longer be correctly adjusted, and replacement is the only solution.
