Description
The V-belt is worn out when it starts showing hairline cracks, but this is often not immediately visible.
By twisting the V-belt, you can observe hairline cracks more quickly.
Inspect the condition of the V-belt and the tension (see your workshop manual) during each maintenance check.
We recommend always having a spare V-belt with you.
Almost all V-belts are available with teeth, providing more grip than a flat V-belt (originally, a flat V-belt was used).
The size (width x outer circumference) is indicated for all V-belts, and for type 1 engines, the diameter of the crankshaft pulley is specified.
Applicable to:
Type 1 engines with 177 mm pulley
Specifications:
AVX 11.3 x 912
