Description

This bearing is located in the flywheel bolt on a Type 1, Type 3, and CT/CZ engine, and in the crankshaft on a Type 4, WBX, and diesel engine.

It is advisable to renew it when replacing the clutch disc with pressure plate. Since the engine is already out, this task is not difficult. If the engine is already installed and you have to replace the bearing afterwards, you will regret not doing it all at once.

If this bearing is in the flywheel bolt, it is much easier to replace the entire flywheel bolt.

Don’t forget to lubricate the bearing well with the special clutch assembly grease. If you forget this, the bearing will run dry, and you will have to start over.

Do not forget to replace the felt ring on the Type 4 and WBX engines, order it directly.
