The dynamo (DC) or alternator (AC) must be securely clamped to the dynamo support. A rusty mounting bracket is not an option, if it breaks off or comes loose in any other way, the damage can be significant.

This clamp is suitable for all alternating current alternators and for direct current alternators with a diameter of 105 mm.

You have the choice between a galvanized or a chrome-plated version.
