If you have a spaghetti exhaust system with a larger pipe diameter than usual, the exhaust gaskets must be tailored to this. Using standard gaskets will impair flow and negate the benefits of a larger pipe diameter.

The paper gaskets have a larger sealing surface than usual, making it possible to further increase the inner diameter, which is often the case with custom-designed exhaust systems.

It is important that the exhaust flange fits perfectly onto the cylinder head. A misaligned exhaust flange will let gas through, leading to the burning of the gasket.

For fixed pipe diameters of 38 and 41 mm, copper gaskets are available. These high-quality gaskets guarantee a lasting gas-tight connection in all conditions, but they cannot be modified (unlike the paper gaskets).

The gaskets between the spaghetti and the silencer or silencer combination are always made of paper, although you could potentially adjust the inner diameter.
