Description

The capacitor is located inside the distributor or against the side of the distributor and is connected on one side to the negative of the coil and on the other side in the distributor at the contact point.

The capacitor ensures that the spark in the contact point is dampened to prevent burning. If the contact point burns quickly, it means the capacitor is broken and needs to be replaced. It is also advisable to replace the capacitor if the wiring is damaged.
