When the wheel cylinders or brake calipers start to pump themselves, the cause is often a clogged brake hose. As a result, the brake fluid will be pumped to the wheel cylinder or brake caliper, but it cannot flow back.

Whatever the reason is to replace your brake hoses, always replace them on both the left and right side. If you don’t do that, there is a high chance of brake pressure difference occurring, which will cause the vehicle to pull to one side during braking.

Make sure the brake hose is mounted without twisting; a twisted brake hose can be recognized by the curved lines pressed into the outer cover of the brake hose. A twisted brake hose will fail the technical inspection.
