Description
If the wheel cylinders or calipers start pumping up on their own, the cause is often a blocked brake hose. As a result, brake fluid will be pumped to the wheel cylinder or caliper, but it cannot flow back.
Whatever the reason is for replacing your brake hoses, always replace them on both the left and right side. If you don’t do this, there is a high chance of brake pressure imbalance, which will cause the vehicle to pull to one side when braking.
Make sure the brake hose is mounted without twisting; a twisted brake hose can be recognized by the curved lines pressed into the outer jacket of the brake hose. A twisted brake hose will be rejected during the technical inspection.
