Description
When the crankshaft stroke has been changed, it is possible that the original push rod tubes may no longer fit in terms of length. In that case, use the adjustable push rod tubes listed here.
These are adjusted to length by sliding them out between the crankcase and the cylinder head, and then tightening them with nuts for a leak-free result. They are also extremely suitable for repairs, as you can replace the push rod tubes without disassembling the engine or cylinder heads: remove the rocker arm with the push rods, remove the old push rod tubes, and install the adjustable tubes.
If you experience leakage over time, tighten the nuts and the problem is solved (use new gaskets if necessary).
These adjustable push rod tubes are made of blue anodized aluminum, with an O-ring ensuring sealing between the two parts.
Note: During assembly, check that the push rods move freely and do not touch the inside of the tubes, which may occur with certain cylinder heads and/or in combination with modified valve geometry. If this is the case, you may lightly modify the inside of the ends until they move freely, keeping in mind the thickness of the aluminum.
Suitable for:
– Type-1 engines (except for 25hp and 30hp engines)
– Type-3 engines up to 7.1970
